Many brands attempted to genuinely pay tribute to singer PRINCE in commemoration of his life and massive influence. But some brand messages were viewed as leeching onto a genuine moment of emotion for advertising purposes only. Among those brands who were chastised for their efforts were Cheerios and alcoholic drink brand Four Lokos, who later deleted their initial posts related to the event.
